As an official reseller of Eichenberger Gewinde AG, we greatly appreciate the support of the team in Burg. Recently, we were challenged by a new machine development - the OEM wanted a high performance solution at a competitive price. "Little heroes of everyday life". The Eichenberger design team love the challenge of an unusual project. The search was on for drive elements to move human fingers - in the smallest of spaces, quickly, precisely, dynamically, quietly, safely and reliably. Eichenberger took up the gauntlet with great commitment to both customer and the application. Taking a solution-orientated approach, the thread drive experts worked closely with the Swedish exoskeleton specialist to solve the challenge. The outcome was a filigree, cold rolled, induction-hardened threaded spindle. The mechanical drive elements became little heroes making everyday life easier for humans.

BIAR SA has produced sampling systems for use in very demanding environments such as chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries for more than 35 years now. All samplers are designed and manufactured at our Swiss site in Sembrancher. Hamilton ZEUS is based on the Hamilton revolutionary air displacement pipetting technology and is designed to take over the entire pipetting process. ZEUS products feature integrated Z-axis motion for automatic tip pick-up, liquid level detection and tracking during aspiration and dispensing.

An Eichenberger spindle is used for this Z-axis motion. The special Eichenberger “Speedy” thread component makes the Hamilton ZEUS product more robust and enables high-speed motion compared to products from competitors. The cooperation with Eichenberger is very efficient and we always get quick responses and good solutions for our applications.
